While company is everything, today I can say the company was a bonus to the location. Apple Tree isn't just a small local pub; it is a great atmosphere where all who enters are instantly comfortable, be it alone or in a group, or in our case, two tired people straight from a 10mile hike. The place is older, filled with character and obviously owned by someone with quite a sense of humor. (See the pictures) from the smile on the bartender's face, to the wacky plaques on the wall, to the beautiful and quiet garden out back, I loved every bit of my.moment here. Definitely worth returning.
Great variety of drinks, amazing space with nice seating and amazing outdoor space with amazingly friendly staff, my personal favourite pub in the area!

Quality pub, great food, classic ambience and a contained outdoor area for kids with ample play facilities. Outdoor chicken shack and a well thought out layout. They even have blankets for those chilly eves where one wishes to sit outside. Very thoughtful.

We sat in the garden, had a delicious lasagne with a colourful, tasty salad and garlic bread. Excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend it.
